When you’re ready to capture your receipt to upload it to our website, you can either take a photo of it using a digital camera, or scan it. No matter which method you use, make sure you capture the entire receipt. We can only process receipts when we can see:
- Purchase date (the date printed on your receipt)
- Store name or logo
- All items you're claiming
… so make sure you can see them too!
IF YOU ARE USING A DIGITAL CAMERA:
In order to have a speedy approval process, please make sure your receipt photos are super clear and easy to read, and that everything listed above is captured.
Remember: We need the entire receipt from top to bottom, so please take multiple photos if your receipt doesn't clearly fit in one photo.
Once you're done taking the photos, connect the camera to your computer and download the photo(s) somewhere you will remember - like right on your desktop. That way, when you click "Choose Image File" on the website, you'll know exactly where to find your photos.
IF YOU ARE USING A SCANNER:
Be sure to scan the photo of the receipt lengthwise and save the images somewhere you will remember - like right on your desktop.
Remember: We need the entire receipt from top to bottom, so please make sure you scan it all.
If the receipt is longer than the scanner, please DO NOT cut up the receipt and attempt to place it all onto the scanner at once. Instead, place the first portion of the receipt onto the scanner bed and scan the image. Then, move the portion of the receipt that you already scanned off the scanner, and scan the next portion. You can do this as many times as you need until the entire receipt is captured!
